10 Times WWE Has Dropped The Ball With Bobby Lashley Since His Return

It took roughly two months, but Bobby Lashley did find some direction in early 2018 in the form of a feud with Sami Zayn, though it wasn't exactly what fans had in mind for either individual.

Lashley was a babyface for reasons that weren't explained (more on that later) and Zayn was supposed to be the thorn in his side, so from the get-go, they were miscast as characters. To make matters worse, Zayn eventually incorporated Lashley's "sisters" into the storyline after Lashley made a comment during a sit-down interview about how much his siblings meant to him.

The interview didn't do a lot to endear Lashley to the audience and actually ruined any mystique he had left from his return. Despite getting the better of Zayn at every turn, he came across as unlikable throughout the entire rivalry, especially once he squashed Zayn in their match at Money in the Bank.

This probably would have been the perfect time to turn Lashley heel, but in typical WWE fashion, they waited until no one cared about him anymore to pull the trigger.
