Daniel Bryan's bizarre exit from WWE wasn't the only time The Nexus had to deal with some stupid WWE logic during their early days on the main roster.

In what the one-time black and gold gang's leader Wade Barrett classed as "one of the dumbest things" he'd ever experienced in his whole life, the no-nonsense Brit recalled to Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast a time when the group were oddly banned from the locker room.

The person in charge of looking after the newcomers felt that the invading unit shouldn't be changing with their WWE colleagues due to them being seen as outsiders at the time. Which actually did make a little bit of sense.

However, by the time the lads were main-eventing Survivor Series and SummerSlam, the fact they were still being forced to get changed in hallways as staff members walked past was something that Barrett felt just didn't benefit the rising stars at the time.

What started out as an interesting way to add some authenticity to the invasion soon turned into a pretty frustrating reality for the rookies. But in WWE's mind, these new lads needed to continue living the outsider life even after earning WWE contracts, and regardless of the fact they were now being trusted to close out 'big-four' PPVs.
