10 Times WWE Punished Success

Like any business, WWE is geared towards making money. That's the end goal in everything the company does, or it's supposed to be, at least. Sometimes, other factors tend to get in the way of that. Oh yes, it's time to talk about good ol' wrestling politics, and the senseless way in which they undermine success.

In a perfect world, they wouldn't. This, as everyone knows by now, isn't a perfect world.

It's not quite as easy as Wrestler A convincing creative that they deserve a push and getting one. It's not even as simple as Wrestler A showing initiative, getting over completely on their own and then receiving the plaudits that should come with such gumption in-house. All too often, wrestlers are punished for their achievements, and it rarely (if ever) makes much sense why.

At one point, everyone on this list had some momentum or the potential to create it. Then, as if WWE resented what they were doing, these stars were stomped all over for having the audacity to show resourcefulness. This asinine approach has ruined a lot of unexpected money-making opportunities...
