10 Times WWE Retconned EVERYTHING

1. And Is Badly Scarred

...this.

Viewers were repeatedly told that Kane wore a mask to hide brutal scars which covered his face. Then, when he unmasked in 2002, those "brutal scars" looked more like soot the 'Big Red Machine' could wash off in the shower. WWE, likely realising that their makeup job was a bit sh*t, pivoted.

Kane had "mental scarring" more than physical. So, why did he need the mask if it was all inside? Also, what happened to the original outfit that covered his right arm (that was explained away with burns/scarring too)? This wasn't broached when Kane debuted new ring attire in 2001.

Christ, all this comes before one even gets to the whole Katie Vick stuff (Kane dated, could drive and went to parties?!). WWE has d*cked around with the backstory so much and so often that it's just accepted nowadays.
