10 Times WWE Ruined Their Own Ideas IMMEDIATELY

8. 2019's Draft

Idea: WWE moved SmackDown to FOX on 4 October 2019, then held the latest full-blown Draft on the 11 October episode and on the 14 October Raw. It was going to be an exciting inter-channel battle between FOX and USA Network execs for control of the best superstars available.

How It Was Ruined: It was boring, flatter than the recipient of a Vader Bomb and trundled along to the delight of almost nobody.

Skits that showed bogus FOX and USA executives reacting from respective "War Rooms" were crap, and Stephanie McMahon's dull delivery when announcing each pick only made things worse. Hilariously, WWE also gave the game away by listing each pick in order on their website beforehand.

That meant Steph was reading out something fans already knew, and it made organic surprise impossible. As if that wasn't enough, Brock Lesnar (who was touted as a major coup for the show) quit SmackDown on 1 November and jumped to Raw.
