6. Nikki A.S.H. (2021)
Another of WWE's idiotic traditions imposed solely to appease Vince McMahon's erraticism, the one-month push became a staple of McMahon's latter-day creative strategy. He played lucky dip with a hat containing the names of several locker room loiterers, and whoever's name he pulled would be promised the world on a silver platter before Vince got bored. Or something like that, anyway.
The chosen few would also be given brownie points for immersing themselves in one of Vince's naff ideas, which is the only logical explanation for why Nikki A.S.H. became Miss Money in the Bank in 2021. Nikki Almost-A-Superhero was actually just Nikki Cross playing silly beggars with Mighty Molly's lost-and-found leftovers, but Vince, as only he would, thought he'd struck oil. She cashed in within 24 hours to win the Raw Women's Title from Charlotte Flair.
For 33 days.
That year's ladder fiesta, remember, was only the second show for WWE where physical human beings were indoors following the pandemic, so it was presumed Vince would go all in to outsmart a golden period for AEW. He did, because John Cena's show-closing return was a genuinely good bit of business, but booking Nikki as a surprise Money in the Bank winner was a surprise for surprise's sake.
