10 Times WWE Tried To Convince You Wrestlers Were Related

This is probably one you'd forgotten about.

Long before they were enhancement talent on Raw, and even before they were henchmen for Edge as the "Edgeheads", Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins were known as The Major Bros. Debuting on the main roster in 2007, they didn't even have the same ring names. Ryder was Brett and Curt was Brian Major.

Commentators on ECW (their first brand) told viewers they were siblings, something that was plausible due to their similar surfer-boy looks. When the team moved to SmackDown a few months later, that fake brotherhood angle continued, and it didn't stop until the pair were repackaged as Edge's lackeys at Armageddon.

Suddenly, they were revealed as Ryder and Hawkins, two wrestlers with an affinity for Edge who were definitely not blood relatives. There was no explanation given as to why they were suddenly just friends, and that (oddly enough) would mimic their mentor's own career path. More on that later.
