10 Times WWE Wrestlers Were WAY Better Together Than Apart

9. Ric Flair And Triple H

'The Nature Boy' and 'The King of Kings' had a burgeoning bromance in the early-2000s, most centred around how much they both worshiped Triple H. But their love of 'The Game' was far better shared on the same side than in opposition.

Having been together up to the bitter end in Evolution, the pair only had each other following Batista's departure and Randy Orton's exodus, but even that friendship collapsed when the former Raw overlord returned from a self-imposed exile after a July Hell In A Cell thrashing from his ginormous former colleague.

Determined to be the Harley Race to Ric Flair's... Ric Flair, Hunter tried and failed to transport his work back to a classic early-1980s vintage, turning heel on Flair and battling him in several epic-by-numbers pay-per-view clashes. Suddenly removing any fond memories of his work against Big Dave earlier in the year, he instead reminded audiences of his woeful displays between 2002 and 2004.

Evergreen and ever-giving, Flair gamely put his best friend over in the programme, but the industry icons never had a match most felt they were capable of. 'Slick Ric' wouldn't again until his WrestleMania XXIV retirement clash with Shawn Michaels, proving again if proof were needed just how much skill and precision 'HBK' still held over his inferior DX comrade.
