10 Times WWE's February PPV Was Better Than WrestleMania

9. Elimination Chamber (2010)

It'd be unfair to claim that WrestleMania XXVI was a one-match show, but it was a very smart move to put The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels in the main event position. The previous year, that hadn't happened and it hurt the show, so it was nice to see that rectified in 2010. Other featured bouts, such as Vince McMahon vs. Bret Hart and Chris Jericho vs. Edge were disappointments. The main highlights of the previous month's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view were (obviously) the two Chamber matches themselves, which were far and away better than anything - aside from 'Taker vs. Michaels - that WWE presented at WrestleMania. There was a lot of action and storyline developments for fans to sink their teeth into, including a shocking WWE Title change. After John Cena had won the first Chamber bout, Vince McMahon brought out Batista to crush him and win the belt. Later in the show, Shawn Michaels made a surprise appearance from beneath the ring, blasting The Undertaker with Sweet Chin Music and costing the Deadman the World Heavyweight Title. Chris Jericho left the Chamber as the new champ. 'Mania - overall - struggled to live up to the excellent set-up.
