10 Times You Couldn't Admit YOU WERE WRONG About WWE

5. No Chairs To The Head?! That's Rubbish!

This might seem funky to younger readers out there, but there was a time when select older fans booed chair shots to the back. They wanted to see skulls get caved in, because that's what they'd grown accustomed to over the years. Seeing workers carefully get into position for a spinal shot instead took some getting used to.

Retrospectively, it was the right call.

The sheer amount of damage those chairs to the head caused is crazy. Pro wrestling didn't have as much knowledge about CTE, concussions and the like back then, but common sense dictates that belting someone on the bonce with a steel chair at serious speed wasn't the best idea.

Thankfully, fans today understand why chair shots to the head were outlawed. People have seen a few one-off comebacks, but not too many. It'd be great if wrestling never featured another sickening shot like the ones that were once commonplace on weekly TV.

The business doesn't need them.
