4. Tribute To The Troops
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS48EdUlfCo The War on Terror that engulfed the United States and its allies for over a decade was the topic of much discussion and debate. What was never up for the debate was the bravery of the men and women fighting for our freedom. To help show support and appreciation to them, WWE held an annual Tribute to the Troops special, traveling to Afghanistan and Iraq to entertain those responsible for retaining our safety. Every December, the company would say thank you and Merry Christmas by holding a live event for the soldiers and allowing them to send well wishes to their families through recorded messages. The company would then air the emotional special on the USA Network. Vince McMahon himself would leave the cozy confines of his lush office in Hartford to travel to the foreign countries, sleeping in the cargo area of planes and enduring the same hardships his talent did. A leader in every sense of the word, the boss personally showed his appreciation by giving back to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of the United States and its foreign interests.
