10 Totally Random Makeshift Tag Teams That Surprisingly Ruled

3. Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri

Talk about bad luck: five days before their big ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Titles at Judgement Day, Chavo Guerrero tears his bicep while wrestling in a dark match at the Smackdown taping. It was a blow to Chavo, who was experiencing the best time of his career alongside his ever-popular uncle Eddie. WWE had already advertised a ladder match for the show and so they had to deliver. Eddie needed a new partner and the office decided that the under-used Tajiri would be a good fit. Despite the rife racial stereotyping, the team were a success and had an instance chemistry with each other. Discussing the team in his autobiography, Eddie said that:
I think everybody understood that my tag team with Tajiri was only temporary. Tajiri did a great job. He fit right in after Chavito got hurt. There wasn't a beat skipped, and that's a compliment to Tajiri's work. Not everyone could've done that.
They won the Tag Team Titles in their first match and had a great mini-feud with Team Angle. The team broke up after only a handful of matches together when Tajiri accidentally collided with Eddie's lowrider. Going ballistic, Eddie suplexed Tajiri through the car's windshield. Although it was supposed to turn him heel, the fans only cheered Eddie harder. His team with Tajiri, while short-lived, was certainly memorable and could probably have lasted a little longer, if WWE weren't so intent on turning Eddie heel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCDhTF6ue4k
