10 UFC Fighter Comebacks Which Could Potentially Happen In 2020

7. Nick Diaz

As of writing it's been five years since we last had the pleasure of seeing the ever-brash Nick Diaz grace the Octagon.

That is way too long. Yet, throughout that period talk has persisted about a potential comeback from the older Diaz brother.

However, we're still yet to see him stockton slap a fool in the UFC Welterweight or Middleweight divisions in recent times and that absence has undoubtedly made the heart grow fonder.

Then, when all hope for an epic return appeared to be lost, his younger brother Nate was controversially stopped in his clash with Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 for the BMF title and the door was re-opened for his comeback in the most unlikely of ways.

Seemingly p*ssed at the result of the clash and Masvidal's arrogance in the wake of the victory, Nick appeared to challenge 'Gamebred' on Instagram and the BMF Champion claimed to be '100% in for this'.

Talk has cooled over when this clash will happen (or even if it actually will) but the key takeaway from this exchange is that Nick looks to be in a place where he feels he's ready to compete at the highest level again.

He's also in the clear as far as USADA suspensions are concerned. So, as long as he doesn't flunk another test or fail to follow protocol in the near future, Nick's return could be imminent.
