10 UFC Fighter Comebacks Which Could Potentially Happen In 2020
5. Paul Felder
When Paul Felder and Dan Hooker went to war at UFC Auckland in February they left it all in the Octagon.
Brutal punches, elbows and kicks were delivered and absorbed by each man for five straight rounds, and it left the pair both looking like they'd been repeatedly smashed in the face with a shovel.
It was near impossible to call. Yet, when the final scores were read out it was Hooker who had scored the split decision victory.
Despite the fight being so close and Felder being the victor in many fans' minds, 'The Irish Dragon' appeared to be done with the sport and with his right eye fully closed up he admitted that this fight 'could be it' for him in the post-bout interview.
However, now that his body (and more importantly his face) has recovered Felder appears to be entertaining the idea of a return to the Octagon...but only for the right fight.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on his MMA Show, Felder confirmed that it wasn't all over yet, stating 'I think at this point it’s safe to say that I am only coming back for things that really entice me. Things that will really make me train the way I did for this five-round fight, huge match ups that really entice me. Other than that, I will just do commentary and wait for that match up.'
As he mentioned, Felder has a lot of avenues he can explore outside of competing, but we still hope we can see him return to the cage in 2020.
Could a clash against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone or 'Raging' Al Iaquinta get him back on the horse?
