10 UFC Fighter Comebacks Which Could Potentially Happen In 2020
4. Anderson Silva
Former UFC Middleweight overlord Anderson Silva is in a bit of a tough position in 2020.
He's unquestionably one of the greatest to ever step foot inside the Octagon and his reign as Middleweight Champion is still the longest in UFC history. However, his legacy has been damaged over the last few years, with the losses starting to pile up.
Losing twice to Chris Weidman and adding further 'L's after his clashes with Michael Bisping, Daniel Cormier, Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier has now left 'The Spider' with just one win in his last eight fights - after his victory over Nick Diaz at UFC 183 was ruled a no contest due to the Brazilian testing positive for drostanolone and androsterone.
Silva defiantly clarified that he was 'not retiring' after his loss to Cannonier at UFC 237, so if he stays fit we could see him return to the Octagon in 2020.
The question is, will he finally be able to halt the slump he currently finds himself in or will his epic career finish with a whimper?
Silva is still a huge name in combat sports and fans will quite happily pay money to see such a big name throw down on PPV. Yet, at 44 years old, it's looking increasingly more likely that Silva's next bout could be his last.
