10 UFC Rivals Who Seriously Can’t Stand Each Other
5. Nick Diaz And Georges St. Pierre
Back in the early 2010's, Georges St. Pierre was seen as the UFC's golden boy in Nick Diaz' eyes.
He felt that the Quebec native had been unfairly groomed to be the face of the company and this angered St. Pierre as he couldn't stand being framed as a pampered athlete due to coming from a rough background himself.
After going to war verbally in press conferences in the lead up to their Welterweight title fight at UFC 158, GSP eventually earned a unanimous decision victory against his sh*t talking adversary.
However, this contest only seemed to add more fuel to the raging fire of hatred between the two.
In the years that followed, Diaz has claimed that GSP was abusing steroids before their fight and he's tried his best to goad the MMA legend into a rematch. But, it seems like GSP has no interest in running it back with the older Diaz brother, telling Chael Sonnen in 2019 'There's nothing good that can come out of it, even if I win. I think the odds will favour me and expect me to win, and if I lose it will be a complete disaster.'
This is another bitter rivalry which shows no sign of subsiding in the near future, regardless of the fact that both fighters haven't fought in years.
