UFC Welterweights Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal used to be close pals at American Top Team. 'Chaos' would regularly sleep on 'Gamebred's couch and Masvidal has gone on record to say that Covington 'ate off his food' back in the early days of his MMA career.
However, Covington said that he turned his back on Masvidal after realising that the star was just using him as a wrestling sparring partner for his camps, whereas Masvidal has stated that his beef with Covington began after the former Interim Welterweight Champion refused to pay their coach the money that was owed to him.
Since then, the American Top Team teammates have gone back and forth on social media and in various interviews, with Masvidal even recently going against a strictly no trash talking within the team rule by saying 'F*ck coby. The most fragile most sensitive guy in ufc history' on his Twitter account.
These two still haven't met inside the Octagon, but when that moment finally comes around you can bet that the entire combat sports world will be lining up to witness this real friends-turned-enemies grudge match go down.
