10 UFC Stars Who Deserve Your Attention In 2020
9. Corey Anderson
One man who would definitely benefit from Francis Ngannou's misery - if Jon Jones were to step into the Heavyweight field - would be one Corey Anderson.
In case you didn't know, Anderson has been plugging away in the Light Heavyweight division since way back in 2014, after his initial success on The Ultimate Fighter 19.
Since then, any time he has looked like delivering on his undoubted promise, Anderson has seen his momentum stifled by losses against the likes of Gian Villante, Mauricio Rua, Jimi Manuwa and Ovince Saint Preux.
But, just when you thought the now-veteran of the UFC was down and out, he somehow found himself coming off the back of his longest winning streak inside of the Octagon (4) and he now feels as though he should be next in line to challenge for the belt.
Anderson definitely ranks as one of the most underrated talents inside of the current Light Heavyweight division. However, he has consistently showed he can go the distance and his recent TKO finishing of (other top Light Heavyweight contender) Johnny Walker even proved that he had it in him to finish some of the best in the division, too.
Hopefully he gets the shot (and maybe even title win if Jones buggers off to Heavyweight) that his current run of form deserves and Anderson starts to garner the appreciation that his quietly impressive 10-4 UFC record warrants.
