10 UFC Stars Who Deserve Your Attention In 2020

8. Justin Gaethje

Amidst the welcome chaos currently surrounding the UFC's Lightweight division, we must not forget that one fighter is being overlooked by all who find themselves enthralled in the Conor McGregor/Tony Ferguson/Khabib Nurmagomedov ever-twisting narrative.

Justin Gaethje deserves your respect, damn it.

Sure, things didn't get off to the best of starts for him in the UFC, stumbling to back-to-back defeats against Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier. But, Gaethje has found a way to bounce back and now boasts a three fight win streak which includes a victory over Conor McGregor's UFC 246 dance partner, Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone.

Gaethje was even being floated around as one of McGregor's potential opponents for his comeback bout, yet he didn't get the call and now finds himself in an odd form of limbo.

Outside of Ferguson and Nurmagomedov, Gaethje has to currently sit as the top Lightweight in the division. However, he's still not had his name seriously thrown into the mix when discussing how the title picture will play out over the next year.

Perhaps they all fear the first round knockout artist. Or maybe Dana White is just waiting for the perfect moment to pull the trigger on such an exciting star.

Either way, if you're not aware of just how sincere a threat Gaethje is to the illustrious trident of the Lightweight division, then a simple flick through his fight highlights should thoroughly inform you.
