10. Ted DiBiase Defeats Jake Roberts (WrestleMania VI)
The verdict is in, and has been for many years, Ted DiBiase's 'Million Dollar Man' character was one of the greatest heels to ever grace WWF/WWE. On the other side of the coin, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts played the every man perfectly during the duo's feud, most memorably cutting an extremely effective promo at WrestleMania VI that had even Gene Okerlund genuinely contemplative. Contested for the unsanctioned Million Dollar Belt, Roberts vs. DiBiase was pinned down by an incredibly well-written story. It was the tale of the rich snob against the common man, something almost everybody can relate to, but there would be no big babyface parade at 'Mania for fans to get behind. Beating Roberts by count out, DiBiase escaped by the skin of his teeth, aided by his personal bodyguard, Virgil. Fans were irate that the money-hoarding Million Dollar Man had managed to keep hold of his self-created title belt, and it's still one of the most well-remembered heel victories in WrestleMania folklore.
