10 Ultra-Rare Unreleased WWE Matches We’d Love To See

6. Vader Vs Ultimate Warrior (April 30th, 1996)

Offering a potentially monumental battle between two cross-generational heavyweights during their paths briefly crossing in WWE, a war between the Ultimate Warrior and Vader has a curious appeal.

As too does a ten second squash of 'The Mastodon' by the painted-up icon.

Yes, whilst house show matches between the two were required to resemble something akin to a regular money-drawing main event, the battles between them as the dark climax to lengthy television tapings were notoriously short and designed to give the fans a glimpse of the stars they actually wanted to see without offering a match they'd end up treasuring.

This April squash was only Warrior's sixth match back with the organisation after his WrestleMania 12 return against Triple H nearly two months earlier, and live crowds were phenomenally loud for his early appearances as a man out of time in Shawn Michaels' New Generation.

In contrast, 'The Man They Call' Vader had quickly established an aura as a brand new type of threat in the company, having bulldozed through half the roster in his Royal Rumble debut, before causing chaos during his follow-up Monday Night Raw appearances and breaking Yokozuna's leg following the sumo star's separation from Camp Cornette.

Staggeringly, three clotheslines and a splash later, and both were back in the locker room.
