7. Demolition

As Vince McMahon's answer to The Road Warriors, Ax and Smash - AKA Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow - were the baddest team around. They took no prisoners in the World Wrestling Federation. In fact, the WWF Tag Team division of the late 1980s virtually belonged to Demolition and, with the legendary Mr Fuji by their side, the face-painted bruisers were virtually unstoppable.

While their record as longest-reigning Tag champs may have been broken by The New Day in late 2016, Demolition still holds the record for the most combined days as WWF Tag Team Champions. Holding the straps for an ungodly 698 days over the course of their three runs with the gold, Demolition set the bar so high that it may never be broken.

Much like The Fabulous Freebirds, the original combination will always be remembered most fondly; however, similar to Jimmy Garvin of The Freebirds, the latter run with Crush added to the mix helped prolong the team into the '90s.

Unfortunately, Bill Eadie sued WWE over the rights to the Demolition name in the early '90s, which probably didn't help their cause or endear them to Vince McMahon.

Meanwhile, both Ax and Smash are also involved in the on-going class action concussion lawsuit, diminishing their chances of impending induction even further.
