10 Underrated Stars That WWE Should Never Have Released

5. Luke Gallows

Originally the slow-witted Festus in 2007, then the brooding enforcer Luke Gallows for CM Punk's brilliant Straight Edge Society faction in 2009, Drew Hankinson confirmed his departure from WWE in late 2010 after the stable split.

Hankinson worked in Japan following his release from WWE, and then for TNA for two years as part of the long-running Aces & Eights storyline. He's been a member of the Bullet Club faction in New Japan Pro Wrestling since November 2013 under the name Doc Gallows (D.O.C. stands for 'Director Of Chaos').

A far better wrestler than he was ever given credit for, Hankinson was brought back to the company earlier this year as part of a slow-build to a new Bullet club.

Even though they did bring him back this past year, they should have never let him go in the first place.
