10 Underrated WWE Feuds You Forgot Existed

10. The Hurricane vs. Jamie Noble

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxktll_the-hurricane-vs-jamie-noble-with-nidia_sport The summer of 2002 was set to be one of the biggest for The Hurricane. A draftee of the SmackDown brand, he was the reigning WWE Cruiserweight champion and one of the more popular midcard stars on the Thursday night roster. He was unlike any other character in WWE and appealed to the nerdy, comic book fans in the audience. Simply put, he was quite awesome and in May, he became involved in a mystery storyline revolving around a series of anonymous letters left for him around the backstage area of arenas across the country. When the source of the letters was finally revealed, it turned out to be Tough Enough season one winner Nidia, a former girlfriend of the masked superhero. The angle led to the debut of Jamie Noble, whose redneck, trailer park trash gimmick was both wildly entertaining and surprisingly believable. Together, he and Nidia tormented Hurricane, making him pay for his past relationship with Noble's fairly promiscuous significant other. The feud led to an excellent match for the Cruiserweight title at King of the Ring in June. Noble benefited not only his tremendous in-ring ability but also some much appreciated interference from Nidia to defeat Hurricane and capture the title. Unlike the comic books that inspired the Hurricane character, there was no happy ending for the hero.
