10 Undertaker WWE Dream Matches That Would Have Ruled

9. Chris Benoit

Before the Benoit tragedy unfolded in June 2007, there was a lot of speculation about Benoit's career. Although eventually transferred to ECW to help work with new talent, one rumoured plan was for Benoit to finally turn heel (he had been a face since late 2002) and feud with The Undertaker on Smackdown. Smackdown had a thin roster at the time and Benoit had been treading water as a face for months. His career was waning, and he knew it. Benoit admitted to Fighting Spirit Magazine in a May 2007 interview that the one person he'd love to wrestle that he'd never really gotten to have a programme with was The Undertaker. Benoit and 'Taker did have a singles match on the UK-only PPV Rebellion in 2000. However, this was only a little while after The Undertaker's comeback as The American Badass and the match failed to live up to its potential. It was good, sure, but not the classic that these two were more than capable of producing. A match between the two in 2007 would have certainly been a lot better. Both men were respected veterans at that point and knew exactly what they were doing in the ring.
