10 Underutilized WCW Stars Who Deserved Better

6. Perry Saturn

If only WCW had the vision of a guy like Paul Heyman, Perry Saturn could have been something special. Saturn's WCW run was often criticized by ECW fans as being somewhat of a ripoff of Taz. The look, the suplexes, and the demeanor somewhat resembled that of the "Human Suplex Machine." If WCW were smart they would have probably just ripped off the whole thing. With UFC booming in popularity, Perry Saturn had a unique look in which replicated some of their talents. Taz's ECW gimmick capitalized on the expansion in MMA and Saturn's should have too. While ECW had their "sawed off monster" in Taz, WCW had someone just as capable of pulling off an unstoppable shooter gimmick. Instead Saturn was put in a dress and booked to look like an oaf. A far cry from character being able to provide that "big fight feel." Saturn's WCW career ended unceremoniously as he defected to the WWE and wound up performing more goofball gimmicks. After battling drug addiction and disappearing from the public eye, Saturn popped up two years ago and is wrestling occasionally.
