This one's a bit different, because its not often that a former 2-time world champion is considered underrated or underutilized. That's exactly what happened to The Giant before he darted to the WWE. It isn't every day that a pro wrestling company is gifted a giant with agility and the willingness to learn. WCW apparently thought that talents like these grew on trees and constantly disrespected The Giant following his world title wins. At just 24 years old, WCW told him he wasn't over enough for a raise and he'd peaked as a character. WCW's booking committee wasn't sure what to do with him after he dropped the world title to Hogan, so they threw him in the New World Order where he didn't fit very well. For the majority of his remaining WCW run he participated in giant vs. giant battles and tag feuds that didn't display his true potential. Instead of being portrayed as the attraction he is, he was kept in the mid card until the WWE grabbed him in 1999.
