10 Underutilized Wrestlers In WWE (Who Could Be Stars In AEW)

7. EC3

Unexpectedly weaved into the AEW controversy, EC3 does not seem to have brighter days in store for him in WWE.

The now infamous Talk is Jericho podcast revealed that his burial began after Moxley's burial was unsuccessful. EC3 couldn't get fans to boo Jon/Dean, so naturally that was his fault and not the bad booking leading to the departure and subsequent AEW debut.

After such a promising run at the top in TNA/Impact, it is confusing as to how EC3 hasn't even made it into one program outside of chasing the 24/7 title. Especially given his loyalty of returning to the company after a nothing run after the first iteration of NXT. But loyalty is not always rewarded as it should be in the wrestling industry. It may be time for EC3 to make another departure as he did in 2013.

Luckily for EC3, there just so happens to be a bigger alternative to go to besides Impact this time around. And his size and frame make him a perfect fit. As we saw with the Jake Hager debut, AEW seems to know how to make a big guy look dominant upon arrival.

Combine that fact with EC3's skill at working with faster and smaller guys, and this pairing might be better off more intertwined than just through a podcast. And his current burial might just push him out the door.
