4. All Talking Segments Must Be Scripted

For those that don't understand why WWE scripts every last bit of dialogue they can, allow me to explain: WWE does not want to take the risks associated with talents being allowed to "shoot from the hip" or use their own words. WWE wants every word spoken to be with their approved language as they don't trust their talents enough as they should.

It's understandable that a huge publicly traded company like WWE wants to limit their risks and mitigate any potential slip-ups by their talents, but when the company's entire existence is based upon creativity and a unique form of live-action storytelling, creative freedom is an absolute must. It's the nature of the beast. Maybe not every single talent should be given a live mic on RAW and told to "go for it", but there's far too many restrictions placed on the talents these days and their scripted promos top the list.

It's really ironic when you think about it. WWE scripts everything in order to keep their sponsors and business partners happy which is directly tied to WWE wanting to achieve the desired perception by the public and mainstream media. Vince McMahon has always wanted to be accepted and respected in the entertainment business, but what garners respect in show-business isn't safe, wooden scripting, but good, compelling storytelling that doesn't insult its audiences' intelligence. Are the zombies, the killings, and the gore that appear on The Walking Dead politically correct? How about the incest, womanizing, and violence seen on Game Of Thrones? Those two shows are far from PC, but they are damn sure respected in show-business. Everyone's laughing at you WWE, but by all means, continue to perpetuate the cycle.
