10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 30)

8. That Opener

Colt Cabana The Young Bucks Brodie Lee
AEW

Colt Cabana barely held things together on Dynamite.

His emotion bubbled to the surface, but he can be proud of the way he honoured his friend during a spirited opener. Colt teamed with The Young Bucks to face Matt Hardy and Private Party, and all six men put on quite the show - there was some extra sauce behind their strikes, and the tag had a furious pace at times.

Everyone brought it here. The match was an excellent way to open the wrestling portion of the broadcast, and it must've been everything young Brodie Jr hoped when he declared that he wanted to see Cabana randomly team with The Bucks against some of his other favourites.

Giving Colt the pinfall victory was another nice touch. His eyes might've been fighting back the tears, but he turned back the clock to show a Cabana that arguably hasn't been seen since his ROH days.
