10 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 28)

5. Protect Ya Neck

Jon Moxley
AEW

Death, taxes, and Andy H. Murray putting the Jon Moxley down as an Up. These are life's three certainties.

The AEW World Champion justifies this spot every week, in fairness. He's a legit, believable talker in a promotion with more great promo-cutters than any other in the world, and he was excellent again last night, saying that after a year spent defending the belt and trying to make it the number one in the sport, this was the first time things had gotten personal.

Moxley is weaponising the World Title against the miserable, excuse-making Eddie Kingston. There's no room for this version of his former friend in AEW. He's gonna make King say "I quit," because he crushes skulls, windpipes, and egos, and Kingston best protect his neck.

Professional wrestling need not be complicated. Jon Moxley, a microphone, and 1-2 minutes of airtime is all it takes to make gold.
