10 Vince McMahon Matches You Completely Forgot About

8. Vince McMahon Vs. Randy Orton

The April 2009 contest between McMahon and 'The Apex Predator' should probably have been enormous, due to the incredible segment earlier in the year that saw the Chairman take the most vicious and memorable punt kick Orton had ever delivered.

However, the lightning had left the bottle by the time the two faced off, with Orton suffering a crushing defeat to Triple H at the prior night's WrestleMania, and an equally demeaning beating from Shane McMahon in the immediate aftermath of the January attack on his father.

With a match booked earlier in the night that pitched the McMahons and 'The Game' against Orton's 'Legacy' trio for the 'Backlash' pay-per-view a month later, Orton promised to "put Vince down" to oust him from that match in their singles bout.

Despite an unconvincing opening that saw Vince initially lead with fisticuffs, Orton took measured control shortly after, hitting an RKO which effectively finished McMahon.

Lining up a punt kick, Shane McMahon again made the save, and when Legacy attacked, Triple H joined the battle.

Orton's plan to destroy the McMahons was further foiled by a returning Batista, who joined Shane and Triple H for the Backlash match in Vince's place.
