10 Ways Finn Balor’s Injury Affects WWE
1. Roman Reigns’ Direction
We’ve already touched upon Roman Reigns’ involvement in the
number one contender picture, and how it could compromise his shot at the US title.
But the way things are currently panning out, I’m not sure Reigns will be all that bothered, because it seems like he’s going to be sticking around in the Universal Championship picture for longer than just next week’s match.
This may sound like I’m jumping to conclusions, but there’s thought behind the theory. Even if Reigns isn’t the favourite to win, Rollins and Owens are the most likely candidates, and with Rollins and Owens both being heels, they’re going to need a dominant face challenger if either one wins the belt.
So all in all, it seems more than likely that we’ll either see Reigns entering a programme with the Universal Champion, or possibly even winning the title outright in the Fatal Four Way next week.
Perhaps I am indeed getting ahead of myself, but the signs certainly
seem to point this way. It may not be the most welcome plan of action, but with
neither Reigns nor the title being all that popular with the audience, perhaps
the two would make the perfect couple.
