10 Ways Finn Balor’s Injury Affects WWE

2. Seth Rollins’ Moveset

This isn’t me pointing the finger and branding Seth Rollins unsafe, but I’m sure there’ll be many in light of Balor’s injury who are calling his moveset into question.

It was of course the powerbomb to the barricade that hurt Finn Balor at SummerSlam, and that’s the same move that put Sting in trouble at Night of Champions last year. Admittedly it was in the turnbuckle instead, but in principle it was still the same move.

Again, that doesn’t make Rollins unsafe necessarily, but it may mean that we've reached a point at which he may need to either adapt the move or remove it from his arsenal completely.

It seems kind of ironic that the company would ban his Curb Stomp for being perceived as dangerous, and yet the move that has actually caused in-ring injuries is the one that remains in use.

Regardless of who or what’s to blame, if the results continue in this vein, we could be seeing the turnbuckle powerbomb going the same way as Rollins’ Curb Stomp.
