10 Ways Royal Rumble Proves 2015 Will Be A Bad Year For WWE Fans

2. Family Ties

What was the point of having The Rock come to the ring again? Had he dealt with Rusev (who was easily dispatched by Roman Reigns, making his last minute re-emergence from beside the ring hilariously pointless), that could have set up a WrestleMania match for the two, picking up from where his Raw return late last year left off. Instead, he was simply there to save his cousin from a beatdown at the hands of The Authority. Maybe this was setting something up for the future, maybe it wasn't. At this point, the WWE seem to be flying by the seat of their pants with this stuff! Either way, The Rock's appearance was a clear move to try and make Roman Reigns "cool" by association. The WWE expect fans to think, "Oh Jeez, if The Rock likes Roman, maybe we should too!" Some will fall for that, but the majority won't. However you feel about it, the puzzled look on The Rock's face when he realises how the crowd feels about his cousin is priceless. It's just a shame that some of Dwayne's charisma doesn't rub off on Roman.
