10 Ways Royal Rumble Proves 2015 Will Be A Bad Year For WWE Fans
8. Not Pulling The Trigger
It's become something of a Royal Rumble tradition for Goldust and Cody Rhodes to betray each other, and that was the case early on in this match as Stardust attempted to sneakily eliminate his older sibling. A couple of slaps to the face later, and it was on, but what appeared to be the start of that long rumoured rivalry was cut short by...Roman Reigns. Both Dustin and Cody have said a number of times in the past that they want a match at WrestleMania, and with the former's in ring career apparently nearing an end, it feels like if it's not this year, it will never happen. The WWE teased us with such a match in 2014, but that would ultimately lead only to Cody's transformation into the wacky Stardust. That's even better in some ways as Goldust vs. Stardust has a ton of potential! Unfortunately, based on how poorly their clash in the Royal Rumble match was handled, it wouldn't be in the least bit surprising if the WWE once again fail to pull the trigger, something which also happened when The Real Americans broke up for example.
