6. Relying On The Past
The fact that Kane and The Big Show played such a huge role in the Royal Rumble is troubling to say the least. While both men deserve our respect, the fact that the WWE is expecting us to take them seriously in a match like this is laughable. Kane is the most ineffectual member of The Authority, while The Big Show has flopped between hell and face status so many times, it's hard to care about anything the crybaby giant does these days. Seeing the pair of them be so utterly dominant here was hard to take seriously. Ultimately, it was also something of an insult to fresh talent like Luke Harper and Erick Rowan who were so easily and quickly dispatched much earlier in the match. Why not create some new stars by having them dominate here instead? Guys like Bad News Barrett, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Ryback, and more were all wasted in the Royal Rumble as WWE were far too concerned with making Kane and Big Show look strong in order to make Roman Reigns look even stronger when it came time for him to eliminate them and win.
