After 2017 saw Impact Wrestling struggle with an identity crisis, ownership issues, and various other problems, 2018 is looking up for the former GFW.

As we've already mentioned here before, TNA was essentially the laughing stock of professional wrestling. Year after year of stupid business decisions led them down a seemingly never-ending path of ridicule and misfortune. If it hadn't been for the stroke of luck and creative genius of Matt Hardy 'breaking' himself, TNA likely would've collapsed under the weight of their own mistakes. The Impact as of late on the other hand... now they've been putting on some consistently entertaining pro wrestling.

Between Austin Aries, Johnny Impact, Pentagón Jr., Tessa Blanchard, Brian Cage, Moose, Matt Sydal, and countless others, Impact Wrestling has some of the greatest talent walking the planet today. Impact also has newfound relations with New Japan and Ring of Honor, which gives them an even better standing business- and promoting-wise.

TNA has been slowly crawling up from the bottom of the barrel and finally seem to be peaking their head out from the top. It's genuinely inspirational, and will no-doubt motivate other promotions that may find themselves in similarly low positions.
