10 Ways To Improve & Innovate The WWE Network

2. Consistent Release Scheduling

It's most likely not a coincidence that the WWE Network has lacked a consistent release schedule when it comes to their original shows. Could you imagine if HBO, without revealing the total number of episodes per season. released the first three episodes of Game of Thrones every Sunday night then waited six weeks before releasing episode four? After that, there was another unannounced delay, this time of several months, before episodes five through eight were released and left the audience wondering if that was the end. It sounds ridiculous right? Well, apparently, that's how the WWE operates and it's a disgrace. A couple shows came close to having a consistent release schedule, but even those programs had several weeks without a new episode appearing and no explanation as to why. With the concept of on-demand being so prevalent in 2015, live airing of television shows is not as important as in years past, so WWE can be forgiven on that front. The on-demand release schedule is a different story though, and viewers should know that a new episode of their favorite program will be released at regular intervals, if not all at once, as is the case with Netflix. Releasing shows in such a disorganized fashion is likely tied to to having so many truly underdeveloped and premature programs. The inconsistent production and release schedule, as well as the random show concepts that only produce a limited number of "episodes" have really positioned WWE Network as often directionless, and full of some good but half-baked ideas.
