8. The Announcers Are Having Fun

Being a WWE commentator always came with a caveat: Vinnie Mac screaming in your ear about buzzwords and such. That made the gig harder than it needed to be, but it's a credit to men like Michael Cole that they've been able to work through that pressure and deliver top broadcasts for decades.

Now, Cole has a new lease of life on SmackDown, and he's clearly relishing the chance to be himself for the first time in a long time. Others, like Corey Graves, have also addressed this publicly by saying that comms under Trips' watch is "more fun" than it was when Vince was yelling through headsets.

This is all super-noticeable when one tunes into TV too.

WWE's announcers are more laid back and comfortable. They can finally use words like "wrestling" and "wrestler" without being chewed out post-show, and they can even talk about notable events from industry history rather than insulting fan intelligence.

Long may this continue.
