10 Ways WrestleMania 36 Will Shape WWE’s Future

Drew McIntyre will likely fell Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36, capping a tremendous build and rise by finally winning the big one over a decade after first being dubbed Vince McMahon's 'Chosen One' in WWE. If resonates out of the Performance Center - if it feels big and important while watching it through your television monitor - it will have meant WWE has succeeded at doing something they haven't truly done since Lesnar beat The Undertaker. They'll have created a new star.

Such a moment deserves a football stadium and some have suggested that WWE may hold off on crowning Drew until they can do it on a grander stage. This would be destructive. His Royal Rumble was magnificent and his momentum has sustained itself since then, so why risk derailment? Now is the time.

How will WWE look with McIntyre as 'The Guy' on Raw? The long-term fan response to him will be interesting, given the WWE audience's tendency to turn on their favourites, though Drew's comparably bigger toolkit makes him less likely to flop like Seth Rollins before him. Whatever the case, leaving 'Mania as WWE Champion could guarantee his main event spot for years to come.
