Sting has a long and storied career in the professional wrestling industry, from his earliest days as the beach blonde Sting, through to the iconic image of The Crow in the rafters. Most importantly, more than anyone else, he truly represented WCW and as such, he represented the alternative to WWE. When WCW was purchased by WWE, Sting remained on the outside and joined the upstart TNA promotion. He stayed with TNA for ten years, and although rumours often floated about a surprise appearance, most fans had resigned themselves to the fact that Sting would never join the WWE. Everything changed last year when Sting left TNA in February, and shocked the world when he appeared at a WWE Mattel panel at San Diego Comic Con International. He was also announced as playable in WWE 2K15, and from there it was only a matter of time before he stepped foot in a WWE ring. All year, Sting only made one appearance on a WWE show, and even that didnt make much sense when you pick it apart.
