10 Ways WWE Have Already Weakened Sting's Relevance

10. "The Vigilante" Sting

Sting made his first appearance for WWE this past November at Survivor Series, when he came out during the Team Cena v Team Authority match. He stopped Seth Rollins from getting a cheap win, dropped Triple H and draped Dolph Ziggler€™s arm over Rollins for the three count, which booted The Authority out of power. Since then, whenever Sting is mentioned on WWE TV, it€™s always with the prefix €œThe Vigilante€ and it€™s become so prevalent that it€™s obviously a directive from on high. The problem is, €œVigilante€ is nowhere near the right word to describe Sting, who after becoming The Crow was more interested in his own affairs than he was of the larger wrestling community. If Sting is truly a vigilante, where has he been for everything else terrible that€™s happened in WWE? Where was Sting when Daniel Bryan was getting screwed out of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on a monthly basis, or when The Shield were running through everyone on the roster? Truthfully, €œVigilante€ isn€™t a bad nickname or gimmick, but it isn€™t something that suits Sting as a character. By misunderstanding what made him great, they€™ve misrepresented him to an audience that by and large have only ever heard of him and the man they€™re seeing just isn€™t as cool as the one they€™ve heard of.
