10 Ways WWE Have Already Weakened Sting's Relevance
10. "The Vigilante" Sting
Sting made his first appearance for WWE this past November at Survivor Series, when he came out during the Team Cena v Team Authority match. He stopped Seth Rollins from getting a cheap win, dropped Triple H and draped Dolph Zigglers arm over Rollins for the three count, which booted The Authority out of power. Since then, whenever Sting is mentioned on WWE TV, its always with the prefix The Vigilante and its become so prevalent that its obviously a directive from on high. The problem is, Vigilante is nowhere near the right word to describe Sting, who after becoming The Crow was more interested in his own affairs than he was of the larger wrestling community. If Sting is truly a vigilante, where has he been for everything else terrible thats happened in WWE? Where was Sting when Daniel Bryan was getting screwed out of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on a monthly basis, or when The Shield were running through everyone on the roster? Truthfully, Vigilante isnt a bad nickname or gimmick, but it isnt something that suits Sting as a character. By misunderstanding what made him great, theyve misrepresented him to an audience that by and large have only ever heard of him and the man theyre seeing just isnt as cool as the one theyve heard of.
