10 Ways WWE Can Build Success In India

2. Find An Indian Brand Ambassador

It was a Hulk Hogan appearance in Rocky 3 that set the tone for the boom in wrestling popularity in America in the 80s. It was Mike Tyson crossing over to the WWE that propelled the company€™s standing in the Monday Night Wars. If the WWE needs to have such a watershed moment in India, a great idea would be to have a known big-status celebrity associate with the brand, who stands for wholesome entertainment and not the violence or any such stigma associated with the business in the average Indian€™s mindset. With the big names endorsing anything from a toothbrush to hair oil for the right price, the company needs to be careful about who they choose to go with as that individual needs to appeal to the largest cross-section of the country, but at the same time is legit enough to warrant the product€™s presence on a leading sports channel.
