Between TLC three-ways and Money in the Bank, Ladder Matches were once a fixture at WrestleMania, but they've become worryingly scarce of late. We've now gone one show without one, and that simply won't do.

In all seriousness, there's a reason they used to always put one of these on the show, generally towards the bottom of the card. Whatever the circumstances, they're simply a great way to wake up the crowd and set the tone for the rest of the night.

Roster-wise, it's not as though WWE doesn't have the numbers for it either. Every year, countless wrestlers deserving of a match on the main card are stuck on the pre-show battle royal, something that could be fixed with a five- or six-man Intercontinental or US Title match.

Hell, why not try it with the Cruiserweights? If anyone can light up the Show of Shows with dare-devil ladder-based stunts, it's a group of high-flyers desperate for the opportunity to prove their worth.
