10 Ways WWE Can Improve Its Product In 2017

1. Much Less Vince McMahon Input

The reality is that Vince McMahon is the biggest hindrance to WWE producing a fresh product in 2017. Hell, he's been the main roadblock since the 2000s ever since WCW went under and WWE began resting on their laurels. It's not going to change, but would need to if WWE is to spruce up their product.

In all fairness, Vince McMahon is still a marketing and business guru. His decision to scrap the old pay-per-view system and move towards the ever-popular streaming service model back in 2014 is going to be the move that sets his company up for the future. McMahon was, at one point, a creative genius - not perfect, but far more successful than unsuccessful. Vince had a vision that was finally realized in 2001 and the man will likely go down as the greatest promoter in the history of live entertainment.

But when it comes to producing and approving compelling, eye-catching, entertaining television in the 21st century, he doesn't have it anymore and it's hurting the product. A quick comparison to the quality of NXT Creative (which has maybe a tenth of the talent roster WWE has) shows that wrestling doesn't have to be cringeworthy in 2017. Unfortunately, with Vince McMahon's fingerprints on anything and everything, it will be.
