10 Ways WWE Can Make Live Events Matter Again

2. Ditch The Predictable Outcomes

We've alluded to this a couple of times but to make these live events matter again, the predictability of them needs to be eliminated. It's not just about titles changing hands either; bring in a creative team to deliver new and unexpected matches rather than "practice" bouts for PPVs, and most importantly, surprise fans once in a while.

These matches aren't on television so why not have someone like Apollo Crews take down an AJ Styles or Randy Orton in a match which might actually help an overlooked Superstar get over with fans?

This is something WWE would need to handle carefully, but RAW and SmackDown are often predictable enough without these live events doubling down on that. One of the reasons the build to last year's Survivor Series was so exciting was seeing Superstars from NXT get the upper hand over big names on WWE's flagship shows, so making that the case at these shows would be no bad thing either.

Heck, on that note, why not use NXT Superstars to add an element of excitement and unpredictability to the currently underwhelming house shows?
