10 Ways WWE Can Make Live Events Matter Again
1. Social Media Is Key
At the moment, WWE often shares brief snippets from live events on its social media accounts highlighting Superstars commenting on upcoming matches on shows like RAW and SmackDown. That's all very well and good when it comes to promoting those, but what is WWE actually doing to entice fans to check out one of their house shows?
The company should be doing more to get fans intrigued by what happens at these events by using social media to share clips from matches, results from shows, and even storyline material which ties into the wider WWE Universe.
If there's one thing WWE is good at, it's using the likes of Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to their advantage, so why aren't we hearing more about their house shows? If RAW and SmackDown are The Avengers movies, use these house shows as the Spider-Man and Captain America franchises to build to a true shared "universe" where everything matters. Social media could be key with that and something WWE needs to make better use of.
