The time was right to take the belt off Becky, either to have her chase it, somehow shift to SmackDown and go after Bayley or simply take a much needed break from the title picture. WWE did a half decent job of building up “The Queen of Spades” as a brutal threat both before and during their match only to cut her legs out from under her with the finish. After destroying everyone at the Elimination Chamber, the ‘Mania match proved that Shayna is fallible and beatable. She may yet take the title from Becky but it won’t mean as much in a rematch as it would have done at the first attempt on the grandest stage.
