Raw's ability to advertise upcoming segments and future shows is far from what it used to be.

At the peak of the Monday Night War, both WWE and WCW would, at the beginning of and throughout each broadcast, typically list 3-4 segments that would take place on the show. This informed the viewers about what was still to come and why they should stay tuned in. Since that time, WWE has shifted towards a different outlet to make these little teases.

Twitter has become the primary source of information for what's upcoming on WWE programming. Likely because Raw is often still being written or finalized just prior to or even as the show is going on the air, Twitter is now a great place to find WWE promoting the segments of their weekly television shows.

WWE has made it easy for fans to quickly catch up on the developments of Raw and/or SmackDown Live! Fans can now follow Twitter for updates on what's to come or what's already occurred if they are unable to tune in each week.
